association

The Association of Architectural Aesthetics focuses on scientific issues in the area of architectural aesthetics and the application to the practice of architectural and urban design. It is a forum for the exchange of ideas, the discussion of research methods and common goals through a systematic and scientific investigation of principles of form and space in architecture and urban design, and thus creates an interface for their communication to practice and education. In addition, it promotes interdisciplinary projects with related scientific disciplines such as psychology, neurology, art and architectural theory.

The Association of Architectural Aesthetics works in close cooperation with the Chair of Spatial Design at the Faculty of Architecture at Dresden University of Technology, which, as one of the oldest German architectural faculties maintains a continuous tradition in the field of spatial and building composition, which was founded by eminent teachers and practitioners like Fritz Schumacher and Otto Schubert and is continued by Professor Ralf Weber.
